Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to the questions we get asked the most about our practice and services.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept all plans except HMO and Denti-Cal insurance. With HMO insurance plans, you are assigned to a specific dentist by your plan.

Do you do dental implants?

Yes! We do provide expert dental implants for our patients with missing teeth. We pride ourselves on crafting implants that look and feel completely natural. Dental implants are usually the longest-lasting and best replacement for missing teeth.

What are my options to improve or make over my smile?

If you are simply unhappy with staining and discoloration of your teeth, in-office whitening is a great option to whiten and brighten your smile. Our office offers the Zoom Whitening system and take-home whitening gels to continue whitening at home.

If you have chipped, worn-down, or mis-shaped teeth in addition to discolored teeth, veneers and crowns are a great way to fully reshape and reinvent your smile. Our doctors have completed many minimal to full mouth cases that can be viewed on our Smile Gallery page.

Crowded, spaced out or crooked teeth can be improved by straightening your teeth with clear aligners or traditional orthodontics. Our doctors are certified Invisalign providers.

I keep getting cavities or keep needing dental work. What am I doing wrong?

The old idea that eating too much sugar leads to cavities is still very much true. However, there are many other factors such as underlying health issues, medications, hygiene technique, hygiene tools, diet, acid balance issues, clenching/grinding, and dental habits that affect your dental health. A knowledgeable dental team should assess your risk factors and create a specific plan customized just for you to improve your oral health.

My temporary crown or long-term crown came out! What do I do?

Don’t panic. Call us! In the meantime, rinse your mouth to remove any debris. Reorient and replace the crown back on the tooth. If the crown is very loose, dental cement from any drugstore can be used to temporarily glue the crown back on by following the instructions that are included. If the crown is broken, please do not attempt to replace back in your mouth. We will schedule you to be seen as soon as possible.
