Giving Back
Dr. Bliss Zin chose a career in the dental profession with one goal: to help others. Dr. Zin spends time away from the practice to volunteer her dental expertise locally and internationally. She has traveled to various countries with different university groups and is honored to be a part of the PHENOH™ dental team. Her mission is to provide dental care and education to underserved populations who have never seen a dentist before or have no access to care. Follow the journey below.
Uganda
Our team at Bliss Dentistry worked in a dental clinic that was set up in a community center to provide a range of dental services. Students from the local nursing school came to volunteer and observe.
Cambodia
The dental team at Bliss Dentistry combined efforts with dental hygienists and nurses to provide dental services as well as medical triage in Cambodia.
Fiji
Our Bliss Dentistry team had the opportunity to volunteer through an annual trip organized by University of the Pacific School of Dentistry to provide restorations and extractions to Fijians.
Myanmar
Bliss Dentistry helped set up a makeshift clinic that took place inside of a Buddhist monastery to provide services to orphaned children who joined the monastery, as well as the local ethnic groups.
Mexico
We enjoyed providing dental services and dental health education to the indigenous Huichol people of Mexico.
Costa Rica
Our team at Bliss Dentistry provided oral hygiene services to the locals near Liberia and Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.
CDA Cares
CDA Cares is a bi-annual event organized by the California Dental Association. At Bliss Dentistry, we enjoy volunteering our time and expertise along with hundreds of other dentists, dental professionals and community volunteers who come together to provide dental services at no charge to approximately 2,000 people at each event.
Refugee Education & Outreach
Bliss Dentistry is happy to provide education of dental diseases and oral hygiene instructions to vulnerable refugee populations in the Bay Area.
